What to know about this clog
Birkenstock's footbed carries a deep heel cup, a raised toe bar and a pronounced arch. All three feel like too much in week one and like the point by week four. Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.
Brown leather is allowed to age in a way black is not. Oiled browns lift into red-brown as the oils redistribute. If a specific spot hurts on day one, that is a fit problem and will not break in. General stiffness will.
Leather needs roughly a day to release the moisture it absorbed from your foot. Two pairs alternated each last more than twice as long as one worn daily.
