What to know about this clog
The cork-and-latex footbed starts firm and compresses into the shape of your arch over two to three weeks. After that it holds that shape, which is why a broken-in pair fits you and nobody else.
The buckle is what makes this workable on a high instep. Anything with a fixed vamp will press across the top of the foot and will not stretch enough to fix it.
Brown leather is allowed to age in a way black is not. Oiled browns lift into red-brown as the oils redistribute. Fit at the end of the day. Feet swell measurably over a shift, and a clog that fits at nine in the morning can be tight by seven.
Condition every six to eight weeks for daily-wear shoes. More often than that and you soften the leather past the point where it holds shape.
