What to know about this clog
Sanita manufactured Dansko's clogs until 2007, which is why older pairs of both feel related and why the sizing conventions still overlap. Napped leather like this dusts rather than scuffs. A suede brush along the nap restores it; water does not.
For twelve-hour shifts the footbed matters more than the cushioning. Cushioning compresses; a supportive shape does not.
Leave about a centimetre in front of your longest toe, and check that your foot is not spilling over the sides of the footbed — that is a width problem, not a length one.
Condition every six to eight weeks for daily-wear shoes. More often than that and you soften the leather past the point where it holds shape.
