What to know about this clog
Sanita has been making clogs in Denmark since 1907, and the original line is still built on a shaped beechwood base with the upper nailed to it. Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.
For twelve-hour shifts the footbed matters more than the cushioning. Cushioning compresses; a supportive shape does not.
Fit at the end of the day. Feet swell measurably over a shift, and a clog that fits at nine in the morning can be tight by seven.
Condition every six to eight weeks for daily-wear shoes. More often than that and you soften the leather past the point where it holds shape.
