What to know about this clog
The Dansko shape is unusually roomy through the toe and fixed across the instep. Length is rarely the problem; instep height is what sends pairs back. Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.
The buckle is what makes this workable on a high instep. Anything with a fixed vamp will press across the top of the foot and will not stretch enough to fix it. For twelve-hour shifts the footbed matters more than the cushioning. Cushioning compresses; a supportive shape does not.
Fit at the end of the day. Feet swell measurably over a shift, and a clog that fits at nine in the morning can be tight by seven.
Leather needs roughly a day to release the moisture it absorbed from your foot. Two pairs alternated each last more than twice as long as one worn daily.
