What to know about this clog
Dansko footbeds do not mould the way cork does. What you feel on day one is broadly what you get, which is an advantage if you need support immediately. Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.
For twelve-hour shifts the footbed matters more than the cushioning. Cushioning compresses; a supportive shape does not.
Black is the colour most workplace dress codes specify, and the one that hides toe-box scuffs best. It greys as the finish dries — conditioner brings it back. Most of these are built on EU lasts and converted inconsistently to US sizing. Where you can, work from the EU number.
Condition every six to eight weeks for daily-wear shoes. More often than that and you soften the leather past the point where it holds shape.
