What to know about this clog
Dansko builds almost everything on a rigid rocker sole, so the shoe rolls you forward instead of bending at the ball of the foot. That is the whole reason the brand took over American hospitals. Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.
The buckle is what makes this workable on a high instep. Anything with a fixed vamp will press across the top of the foot and will not stretch enough to fix it.
Fit at the end of the day. Feet swell measurably over a shift, and a clog that fits at nine in the morning can be tight by seven.
Leather needs roughly a day to release the moisture it absorbed from your foot. Two pairs alternated each last more than twice as long as one worn daily.
