What to know about this clog

CUSHIONAIRE builds a cork-style footbed at a lower price than the European makers, with the trade being less consistent sizing across models. Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.

Memory foam feels best on day one and slowly worse after that, because the foam takes a permanent set. Excellent for occasional wear, less so for daily shifts. A wooden base does not flex anywhere. Your foot rolls over the curved front edge instead of bending, which takes about a week to stop feeling strange.

Leave about a centimetre in front of your longest toe, and check that your foot is not spilling over the sides of the footbed — that is a width problem, not a length one.

Keep them away from radiators and direct sun. Heat is what cracks leather uppers and delaminates soles, not water.
