What to know about this clog
Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.
A wooden base does not flex anywhere. Your foot rolls over the curved front edge instead of bending, which takes about a week to stop feeling strange.
The buckle is what makes this workable on a high instep. Anything with a fixed vamp will press across the top of the foot and will not stretch enough to fix it.
Most of these are built on EU lasts and converted inconsistently to US sizing. Where you can, work from the EU number.
Keep them away from radiators and direct sun. Heat is what cracks leather uppers and delaminates soles, not water.
