What to know about this sandal
ECCO tans its own leather and moulds the sole directly to the upper, which is why the shoes flex evenly rather than creasing at one point. Leather uppers breathe and mould, which matters more over a long day than any amount of padding does.
Leave about a centimetre in front of your longest toe, and check that your foot is not spilling over the sides of the footbed — that is a width problem, not a length one.
Leather needs roughly a day to release the moisture it absorbed from your foot. Two pairs alternated each last more than twice as long as one worn daily.
