What to know about this clog
Leather stretches across the width over the first few weeks and barely at all in length. Buy for length, let width settle.
The footbed is moulded rather than mouldable — support comes from a fixed shape, so there is no break-in period and no personalisation either. A rubber outsole grips wet floors in a way a smooth leather or wooden base does not, which is why it turns up on almost everything sold for kitchen and hospital work.
Kitchen floors are hot, wet and unforgiving, which makes the outsole the deciding spec here rather than the upper.
Most of these are built on EU lasts and converted inconsistently to US sizing. Where you can, work from the EU number.
